The Solution That Changed My Life
Getting a new car in high school is memorable for everyone, especially Dr. Merlino. The downside was the more Dr. Merlino drove his manual transmission car, the more his back pain started to inhibit his walking. Searching for relief through university hospitals and a variety of physicians, the options he was given were to wear a major brace or have surgery. It was at this time that his father suggested trying a chiropractor.

Upon visiting his chiropractor, Dr. Merlino learned how the body works and heals. After several months of care, he was thrilled to be pain-free and back on his feet. Just 3-4 months later, Dr. Merlino was enrolled in chiropractic college. “My experience gave me a passion for helping people and I have never looked back.”
Becoming a Chiropractor
Dr. Merlino chose to attend Life University in Marietta, Ga., the largest chiropractic college in the world. Discovering Life’s philosophy regarding the body’s innate healing ability, he embraced the true art of chiropractic care during the years he spent there. “Attending Life was a great fit for me.”
Dr. Merlino has been practicing since 1999 and has advanced certification in Chiropractic BioPhysics® and advanced training in physiological therapeutics. The science behind his research helps him specifically tailor care to his patients’ unique needs.

Dr. Merlino has had the privilege of being the attending chiropractic physician for several institutions including The Fountains at Cedar Parke and Confident Daycare.
Family Foundations
With a strong belief in family values, Dr. Merlino is eager to help families live their best life. When he is not busy at the office or being a father, he enjoys woodworking restorations and bowling.
As a dedicated father and room parent for his daughter’s class at school, Dr. Merlino continuously supports her by coaching her sports teams. He describes his young daughter growing up in his office. “It is almost as if my patients helped raise her. It shows that comfortable, welcoming aspect that our practice exudes.”
